Museum Summer Night Features 80 Museums across the Country

Ljubljana, 16. June (STA) – Museums and galleries across Slovenia will remain open until midnight on Saturday in what will be the 10th annual Museum Summer Night. Nearly 80 museums from 39 cities and towns will put on over 200 events. Admission will be free after 6 PM.

The event, which has become very popular over the years, will see exhibition openings, guided tours, workshops, demonstrations, culinary challenges, film projections, story telling, performances and musical events.

The first Museum Summer Night was held in 2003 in Ljubljana; it included 24 museums, galleries and other venues and attracted 14,500 visitors.

Last year, 82 museums and galleries from 30 cities took part, attracting some 20,000 visitors.
